Forest Suites Resort

"We recently stayed at Forest Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe and had an overall pleasant experience. The location is excellent, quiet, with a nice view of the mountains and the gondola, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and other attractions. Our one-bedroom suite was clean and comfortable. The building is older, but it has been remodeled and generally feels well maintained. However, the room did not look exactly like the photos online. The photos make the rooms appear newer and more updated than they actually are. We also appreciated the complimentary wine, which was a nice touch. The weekday rates were very reasonable, although the weekend prices can get quite high, and at those rates I don't think the property offers the same value. There are a few areas that could be improved. The breakfast was decent, but adding waffles, pancakes, or both would make it much better. Also, the maintenance team could pay more attention to details. Several doors and cabinet doors squeaked, and some of the caulking and repair work looked unfinished. These are small issues, but they become noticeable, especially at night. A little extra maintenance would go a long way. Overall, our room was clean, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Forest Suites Resort, especially for weekday visits when the pricing is more reasonable."

"We stayed here for a night and loved our suite! Our only regret is not staying for more than 1 night. Our suite had everything we needed as a family. Not only was our suite nice and clean, but it also had a full kitchen. And you can't beat the free/complimentary breakfast! The staff at the front desk were super nice and accommodating. It was our first time in South Lake Tahoe, and this place welcomed us. We'll definitely be booking again if we ever come back to South Lake Tahoe."

"My wife and I got married here about 2 months ago and we are forever grateful for Caitlin Thompson and the rest of the staff! They gave us a wonderful experience that we will never forget! If you're looking for a small wedding venue, I cannot recommend this place enough. P.S. the complimentary breakfasts are awesome."
