Marriott's Timber Lodge

"We’ve stayed at Marriott’s Timber Lodge multiple times, both in the winter and summer, and it’s always a wonderful experience. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable and well maintained. If there’s ever an issue, the staff is quick to take care of it. The location is perfect — right next to the Heavenly Gondola and within walking distance to shops, dining, and casinos. It’s very family-friendly with plenty to do, and once we park the car, we usually don’t need to drive again. It truly feels like a home away from home, and we keep coming back."

"This was my second visit to the Marriott Timber Lodge, and it was just as perfect as the first. At this point, it might officially become my annual pre-holiday tradition. The lodge is absolutely beautiful—warm, welcoming, and in the perfect location for a relaxing South Lake Tahoe getaway. The rooms and amenities are consistently well-kept, and the atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a mountain retreat. My only challenge remains the same: the lighting at night. If you’re not familiar with the strip, it can be a bit hard to spot the lodge after dark. But once you find it, everything else is exceptional. It's like a little hidden gem. 💎 Overall, still a wonderful stay, and I’m already looking forward to returning again next year! I will upload photos later, we're still settling into our room."

"We had a 2 room suite with a kitchen. It was very nice. 5th floor with a view of the gondola. The activities looked great but we had so much other stuff to do because we were in the middle of the hot spot we didn’t get to do any of the resort activities. We stayed during Thanksgiving break so only a small portion of the skiing was open on the mountain. If you came in the thick of the skiing season it would be perfect to take the gondola straight to the mountain to ski and back to your room easily anytime you want. Probably easier than going to the car in the parking lot at the ski lodge. We will come back here for sure!"
