"Amazing food. Shopping close to resorts so able just to walk around. Warm up by a fire when its cold. Fire and ice is a good place for beer food and indoor/outdoor socializing. Right by lifts. And tons of little unique stores around. Hawaiian food and ice skating rink there as well."

"L.A.K.E Gift Shop was terrific! The co-owner attending the store was friendly, interactive and informative. He happily gave me the item I wanted from the front window--as there were no more in stock. There are no tacky souvenirs there, only some Tahoe-themed items for sale. I loved their selection of products for sale: many of them were laugh out loud loud hilarious--but there is nothing cheap-looking anywhere. I bought 3 gifts & will go back whenever we visit Lake Tahoe, we live down the hill, near Reno. It you are visiting from out-of town, you MUST visit: look for the giant outdoor wind spinners from the gallery at the front of the center."
