Tallac Historic Site

"I tend to think things don't change much but they do. We took the road around Tahoe to go to Tallac Historic Site. Tallac consists of several summer homes built by wealthy San Franciscans. In those days there was no road to the area. Everything came in by boat - building materials, workers, servants and owners. BEAUTIFUL area - shoreline, forest surrounded homes. Relaxing walk and beautiful views. Come during week if possible to avoid the crowds."

"Beautiful wooded trails around the site and structures as well as water access that you can bike to. There was a private event happening while we visited but we were still able to bike/walk around and explore."
